Ranger Star Ship 02

 The following are some of the internal sections of the Ranger class ship.

The first image shows the Bridge, one crew quarters (usually the captain & doctor) and the Medical bay. All these are standardized units used on many ships.
The bridge has 4 stations; helm-navigation, and engineering are at the front, next to the big view screen and the holographic table, the rear stations are command-communications and a general use terminal right next to the door. V2 Bridges rotate the command post to face forward.
The typical crew quarters as 2 beds with storage above and below, a stand up locker is located at the foot of each bed. A desk is placed near the door and a "night table" at the head between the beds.  The bathroom is a all-in-one unit that includes shower.
The Medical Bay is rather minimal with a fully adjustable operating table, doctor's desk, and storage cabinets. Medical equipment on mobile carts is usually located at the head of the table. The wash room has an extra decontamination function with bio filters and traps. 

The following is a typical multi role rec-room, mostly it serves as the kitchen and mess hall for the ship. It also has sofas and an entertainment center for relaxation. In kitchen food storage is very limited. A cargo room is usually located near by for the supply of food stuffs. 

On the Ranger the rec-room is located on the middle level, not the upper one. 

Below is the layout of the habitable area of the main deck of a Ranger. Rather small isn't it?
Forward and aft of this section are the big equipment rooms, gravity control, hyper drive, cargo pod, main power, etc.  Notice that the escape pods are very handy to the crew quarters.
A small lift is located next to the bridge a larger lift is aft near the medical bay.
The layout is very simple and strait forward with a single hallway (5x57 ft)
