History Lesson 01

  Things Most People Dont Know.

A large amount of conspiracy theory about aliens in the 20th century was correct.

The Earth was visited by several types of aliens; the Grays, the Saurian, being most frequent.
Secret government agencies carried on decades long covert interactions with them. A hidden war, it was called, although it was more full of espionage activities rather than warfare. The agencies had 3 roles; protecting Earth from aliens, gaining tech from them, and keeping it all secret. The Men In Black are a huge exaggeration of a real organization the existed in the USA.

The alien’s motives for dealing with Humanity were obscure and often seemed contradictory. This turned out largely to be caused by the factionalism among them. None of them were working in an official capacity on behalf of their civilization’s authorities. Because there was a long standing tradition of avoiding the Terran solar system, each alien group were here for their own reasons

The Saurian are fascinated by our cultural products and art work. Many of their visits have simply been to collect things for their own entertainment industry. This does include the kidnapping of many celebrities,  who are usually returned with a huge hang over.  A common phrase used among them is "Look what the evolved apes have done now."

The Grays have a more pragmatic and potentially troublesome interest in us. We are a violent and unpredictable race, according to them. But that is what they need to fight in a war they are having with another species. Human abductions were done in part to examine our fitness for the role. Disappearances are sometimes because people have been recruited into the Gray's army.

A galactic prohibition of sorts said “If you go there you will die.” This was not a legal matter, but a statement of statistics, as 98% of ships disappeared when visiting the system. The cause of this turned out to be an automated defense ship left 100,000 years ago by the Ancients, as they had done in several other systems.

In general the aliens did not give up much info about themselves, the galaxy at large or their technology. You could not simply sit down with one and have a friendly chat about; who-is-who in outer space, what kind of ships they drive, and why are they interested in raman noodles?

A lot of information came from James Carter, who was abducted by the Grays in 1963. He returned to Earth in 1986 after fighting in many battles hundreds of light years from home. Most people thought he was crazy. The MIB took him into protective custody and questioned him for years. Although helpful, his accounts were scattered as he was suffering some serious mental damage.

The X-Com Days.

In the early 1990s, the Grays made a serious attempt to install puppets as world leaders, in a counter move to what the Saurians had been more quietly doing for the previous dozen years. To counter this several shadow agencies formed a joint project X-Command to fight the increased alien activity. It was largely successful, and made several gains in alien tech research. However with the immediate danger gone, political fighting soon broke up the unit.

The Saurian claim they were not trying to take over the world. They did want to influence the entertainment industry, and as they saw it politicians and TV celebrities were the same. True or not, this was the story that several of them stuck with.

The Grays were less forthcoming with answers.  Interrogation and investigation pieced together the theory that the interstellar war was not going well. They wanted Humanity's help, but some complicated legal-moral issues at home prevented any official action being taken. The Grays who tried to install puppets were acting on their own as they thought best.
